Saving and Restoring Camera Angles

As of version 2.2, the Wardrobe HUD has a new button that allows you to save and restore camera angle to make your life easier when you want to do whole body shots, face shots, focus on your hands or on your feet to take pictures of your shoes. The button (depicted above) is split into 3 sub-buttons. The upper sub-button is for saving the current camera angle, the two lower sub-buttons restore previously saved angles.

Saving an Angle

This works both if you stand on the Wardrobe pose stand and if you simply stand. These two modes are distinguished, however. If you stand on the pose stand you will only see the angles saved when you were standing on the pose stand if you cycle through your camera angles later. Analogously, if you are standing, cycling through camera angles will only show the angles saved when you were standing.

The camera angles are saved relatively to the pose stand and to your avatar, respectively. This means that when you rez a new pose stand you will have exactly the same camera angles available.

Restoring a Saved Angle

In order to restore a camera angle, simply click either the "Switch to previous camera angle" or the "Switch to next camera angle" button.

Click the button again to advance to the next or previous saved angle. Note that if you are standing on the pose stand you can cycle only through the camera angles saved when you were standing on the pose stand, and analogously, if you are simply standing, you can cycle only through the angles saved when you were standing.

Important Note: The scripted camera control (e.g., if you want to restore a camera angle using the Wardrobe HUD) only works if your camera is in it's standard position. If your camera doesn't move if you click one of the "Restore Camera Angle" buttons, hit the Escape key (or select View / Reset View in the viewer's menu) to reset your camera to its standard position. The manual camera controls override the scripted camera.

To release the scripted camera (i.e., to stop focusing), stand up from your pose stand or click the Stop button on your HUD.

Deleting Camera Angles

To delete a camera angle, activate the one you want to delete first, then click the Menu button , then CamAngles > Del.Current.
