I get an error every time make a clothing rule. I have tried making folders, Change names, Moving item around and it just will not find anything. I have everything up to date. I have spent hours trying to get this to work. Is there a place these items need to be to be found? In all under the RLV folder just like the rest of my wardrobe clothing. HELP?

Unfortunately, the exact error isn't written in the questions, so I'll offer some general tips to get the "Put on" command in Rulebook working.

  • Make sure your Rulebook rules have been sent to the Wardrobe HUD. When clicking "Send Rules to HUD" in the Rulebook window, you should see a confirmation saying "The rules were sent to the HUD successfully", and inworld in the chat window you should see a message saying that the ruleset was activated.
  • The same rules apply as for Wardrobe. First make sure you can actually put on the item from Wardrobe by clicking the "Wear" icon on your Wardrobe web page.
  • To make an item wearable from Wardrobe,
    • make sure the title of the item matches the folder name in your inventory;
    • make sure the folder is contained somewhere in the #RLV folder (it can be in a subfolder of the #RLV folder, it's just important that it is contained in it somewhere);
    • make sure that RLV is turned on in your viewer.
  • If you seem to have problems wearing from Wardrobe, turn on the RLV debugging messages in your viewer (in Firestorm: viewer menu > RLVa > Debug > Show Debug Messages) and check if the Wardrobe HUD executes any RLV commands upon wearing (in the chat window, you should see multiple RLV commands like "Wardrobe HUD vXXX: executes: @...").
  • When you create the rule in the Rulebook window, make sure to pick an item from the dropdown list.
  • If the item doesn't seem to be put on, check if the rule is actually executed by adding a "debug output" command, e.g., the "Output Message" command.
