Can base outfits set as "private" be applied by another user if it's part of a "public" outfit?

To make my wardrobe cleaner and more streamlined for other people, I have made my base outfits private... All my outfits have a base outfit specified which is to be added when changing in to the chosen outfit.

My question is, if my base outfits are set to private, and another person makes me wear a public outfit... will the private base outfit apply because it is linked to the public outfit? Or will it not apply because the base is set to private?

Yes, they will still be applied.

The base outfits (or any linked items) might not be visible, but they are still loaded (invisibly) so that the entire wear chain (including the base items) will still work.
