One of the recommended tools to use for the Wardrobe system is the Dahlia Orfan's Striptease Helper [1]

This helper will automatically remove objects that are grouped together. For example: if you are wearing an alpha for your shoes, and you take the shoe prim off, the alpha will not automatically be removed, but with the helper it will. One use of the StripTease Helper is explained in Dealing with Mesh or Prim Clothing.
